Epiphany - January 6th
The Manifestation of Christ to the world. Epiphany comes from the Greek “show in forth.” Jesus is the manifestation of God. When we see Christ, we see God.
Epiphany’s theme of gifts makes it a time to think about our own gifts of the Spirit for mission and ministry, celebrating them and asking God to help us develop and offer them for others - to continue to spread the light of Jesus to the world.
Yesterday we call “the past,” Tomorrow we call “the future,” Today is God’s gift to us….that’s why we call it “the present.”
What you are is God’s gift to you...what you make of yourself, in the power of the Holy Spirit, is your gift to God.
Beginning Sunday January 13 through March 3, each Sunday in Epiphany, please join the Adult Christian Formation Committee members in the Parish Hall to discuss that Sunday’s readings after the 9 & 10am services.
