Ministries
Acolytes, both youth and adults, assist the celebrant of the service at the altar and carry the cross during the processional.
Altar Guild is a ministry of lay persons who prepare the altar and church building for the celebration of the Eucharist and for any of the other sacraments and offices of the church.
Choirs are led by the Minister of Music. St. Luke's choir combines contemporary and traditional music at the 10:00 am service
Greeters welcome visitors and provide information concerning the congregation.
Lay Readers are licensed to assist the celebrant at the altar and to serve as chalice bearers.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers are licensed to take Holy Communion from the service to those who are part of the St. Luke's community and are sick or homebound.
Lectors are licensed to read scripture at the Eucharistic services and to lead the daily office of morning or evening prayer.
Parish Prayer Ministry affords the opportunity for prayer support for parishioners on Sundays after each service. The Prayer Team, if so desired, conveys needs to the Clergy and/or Daughters of the King for continued prayer.
Ushers greet those who attend the worship services and maintain the decorum within the Sanctuary.
Godly Play (Ages 3 to 8) is a Montessouri type program designed to teach children in a creative and playful way the stories and language of our Christian heritage.
Good News Bearers (Ages 8 to 11) tells the Old and New Testament stories through theater. Each week the youth learn about the context of the stories and then imagine a script. It is an interactive opportunity to understand the stories on a different level.
FAITH BASICS for 12-18 year olds that explores our Christian faith through Scripture, our faith heritage, and worship using the Book of Common Prayer.

The T.R.U.E. Fund (Towards the Relief of Urgent Emergencies) was founded by an Episcopal social worker who encountered many in dire need of immediate help not provided quickly enough by social agencies. T.R.U.E. Funds are collected and administered by the local parish. In budget year 2001, St. Luke's collected approximately $11,000.
