Men's Club PicnicThe Men`s Club picnic is the major fund raiser of the club. It has always been our hope that it would be family oriented and a great way for parishioners to enjoy some great picnic food and have a setting to meet new people. The auction has always raised the funds that we use for our many outreach projects. In this past year we have contributed $500 or more to the Samaritan home for Boys, Jesus House of Hope, 20/200 fellowship for the blind, Kairos prison ministry, True Fund, Christ Church fund to feed the homeless.
Some of our donations are done annually but we always hold a reserve to respond to emergency situations. For years we have auctioned physical items donated by parishioners, friends and families as well as local businesses. In light of the current business climate we decided this year to have a service auction instead which was exciting, fun for all and financially very profitable. We netted over $5,000 which will allow us to seek out even more opportunities to help those in need. Our parishioners were very generous and creative with the services they offered. We thank them and all those who bid and bought at the auction.
